"All that Glitters" Gala Success

Supporters sparkled at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s “All that Glitters” benefit Gala on Saturday, February 13th. One hundred and forty five people celebrated Valentine’s Day with an elegant evening supporting GCMH at Fox Ridge Country Club in Dike. Attendees helped raise over $19,000 for the GCMH Foundation during the Gala. Funds raised during the evening support the GCMH Foundation 2010 “Touch a Life” annual campaign, which is raising money for the new Emergency Department.
The Gala featured live jazz music by the Bob Washut Quartet, dinner and appetizers, a silent and live auction, a dessert auction and jewelry raffle featuring five specially made gemstone neck pieces from Event sponsor Davidson Dittmer Jewelers in downtown Cedar Falls.
Guests in attendance this year also had the special opportunity to win one of five original design “Touch a Life” jewelry pieces. Davidson Dittmer Jewelers specially designed three bracelets and two necklaces featuring the “Touch a Life” logo in sterling silver with a ruby set inside. Event sponsor Davidson Dittmer Jewelers donated the original design gemstone neck pieces and “Touch a Life” jewelry.
